m<ABC = 2x (given)

m<CAB + m<ABC + m<BCA = 180° (sum of triangle)

Substitute

74 + 2x + 48 = 180

Add like terms

2x + 122 = 180

2x + 122 - 122 = 180 - 122

2x = 58

2x/2 = 58/2

x = 29
