Two spheres have are such that the radius of the bigger sphere is 3 times bigger than the smaller. What is the ratio of the area?

Explanation:

Radius of sphere one = r₁ = x units

Radius of sphere 2 = r₂ = 3*x = 3x units

Ratio of area of two sphere's = r₁³ : r₂³

= x³ : (3x)³


= (x^(3))/(3^(3)*x^(3))\\\\= (1)/(3^(3))\\\\= (1)/(27)

= 1 : 27
