(8, 5)=(x2,y2)

now


slope (m) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)


or = (5 - ( - 1))/(8 - ( - 7))


or = \frac{5 + 1} {8 + 7}


or = (6)/(15)


or = (2)/(5)
