Answer:

The removed number is 16

Explanation:

Five numbers have a mean of 12.

Now;

Mean = Σx/x

Thus; Σx = 12 × 5 = 60

Now,we are told that if one number is removed, the mean is 11.

Thus;

(60 - x)/4 = 11

60 - x = (11 × 4)

60 - x = 44

x = 60 - 44

x = 16

Thus,the removed number is 16
