Given:

S.P. = 315

Loss percent = 10%

To find:

The C.P.

Solution:

Let x be the C.P.

We have,

S.P. = 315

Loss percent = 10%

S.P.=C.P.-10\%\text{ of }C.P

315=x-(10)/(100)x

315=x-0.1x

315=0.9x

Divide both sides by 0.9.

(315)/(0.9)=x

350=x

Therefore, the cost price (C.P.) is 350.
