Hey there!

5 = 1/4(a + 5)

1/4(a + 5) = 5

1/4(-4 + 5) = 5

1/4(-4) + 1/4(5) = 5

1/4(-4) + 1/4(5)
= -1 + 5/4

= -1/1 + 5/4

= 1/4

1/4 ≠ 5
0.25 ≠ 5

Thus, your answer should most likely be: [FALSE] because the numbers are NOT equivalent to each other.

“a” should equal to “15”

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!
