We know that:

  • Diameter of circle = 2 cm
  • Radius = Diameter/2
  • Area of circle = πr²

Finding the radius.

  • Radius = Diameter/2
  • => Radius = 2/2
  • => Radius = 1 cm

Finding the area.

  • Area of circle = πr²
  • => Area of circle = 3.14 x 1²
  • => Area of circle = 3.14 x 1 = 3.14 cm²
