Solution:

We have,


-5x<-3 or
2x<-8

Solve the above inequalities separately.


-5x<-3

Divide both sides by -5.


x>(-3)/(-5)


x>(3)/(5) ...(i)

And,


2x<-8

Divide both sides by 2.


x<(-8)/(2)


x<-4 ...(ii)

From (i) and (ii). we get


x<-4 or
x>(3)/(5)

The interval notation of the solution is
(-\infty,-4)\cup \left((3)/(5),\infty\right).

The graph of the solution is shown below.
