Solve for y

9x - 6y = 19

plug the value of x

9 ( -6 ) - 6y = 19

- 54 - 6y = 19

Add 54 to both sides

- 54 + 54 - 6y = 19 + 54

-6y = 73

divide both side by -6

-6y / -6 = 73 / -6

y = 73 / -6
