A square has the same area as a rectangle with side of length 9 cm and 16 cm .What is the length of one side of the square ?

area of square=area of rectangle

s^2=L*W

area of rectangle=length * width

area of rectangle=9cm*16cm=144cm^2

s^2 =144cm^2

s=12 cm
