but how much bigger ?

in our case here P is the smaller square and Q the bigger one.

x = side length of P = 3.5"

y = side length of Q

x/y = 2/7

3.5/y = 2/7

7×3.5 = 2y

y = 3.5×3.5 = 12.25"

the perimeter of Q is

4×y = 4×12.25 = 49"
