Given:

The linear equation is:

y+6=-(5)/(2)(x+4)

To find:

The general form of the given linear equation.

Solution:

The general form of a line is equation is:

Ax+By=C

We have,

y+6=-(5)/(2)(x+4)

Multiply both sides by 2.

2(y+6)=-5(x+4)

2(y)+2(6)=-5(x)-5(4)

2y+12=-5x-20

Isolating variable terms, we get

2y+5x=-20-12

5x+2y=-32

Therefore, the general form of the given linear equation is
5x+2y=-32.
