Answer:

the remaining sheet of paper is 3cm long and 1 cm wide

Explanation:

the length of rectangular sheet is 6cm and when you cut 3 cm from it it remains 3 cm

the breadth of rectangular sheet is 4 cm and when you cut 3 cm from it 1 cm is left.

Answer: 15cm squared

Explanation:

Find the area of the rectangle:

Formula: length x width

So 6 x 4 which is 24

Then, find the square:

Formula: side x side

So 3 x 3 which is 9

Finally subtract the two areas to find the remaining sheet of paper

24 - 9 = 15
