The main reason for this is usually financial security. A couple that becomes parents right out of highschool have very limited options due to the baby. Usually, both parents will have to get a job, which is going to be a minimum wage job due to it being their first job. The money gained from these jobs will be used completely to maintain the baby. This causes stress, anger, depression, etc. to set in which usually causes problems and ultimately hatred between the parents. Individuals who become parents in their early 30's have already had lots of time to find their place in life, go to school, learn something, climb the ranks in their job, and ultimately be much more financially secure.
