Jane was baking cookies. She needed 1/3 cup sugar and 1 2/4 cups flour. How much more flour does she need than sugar?

Answer:

1 and 1/6 cups more

Explanation:

1/3 cup sugar

*1 2/4 cups flour = 6/4 cups flour

*assuming it’s 1 and 2/4 and not 12/4 =3

6/4 - 1/3 = (18-4)/ 12 = 14/ 12 = 1 and 1/6
