Although both disordered eating and eating disorders are abnormal, eating disorders have very specific diagnostic criteria outlining frequent and severe behaviors. Many of the individuals demonstrate problematic or disordered relationships with food, body, and exercise

disordered eating is an irregular pattern of eating that is somewhere in between an eating disorder and regular, healthy eating. they may be less severe than an eating disorder or not as frequent as an eating disorder.

an eating disorder is a long-term pattern of irregular eating habits that is done, in most cases, on purpose. it is severe and frequent, usually done on a daily basis.

hope this helps. :)
