Answer:

x = 65

y = 115

Explanation:

let the unknown angle be z

so , 60+55+angle z = 180 { angle sum property }

=> 115 + angle z = 180

=> angle z = 180 - 115

=> angle z = 65

now angle z is equal to angle x { because of they are vertically opposite angles }

x = 65

now, for angle y

angle y + angle x = 180 { because they are linear pair }

65+y = 180

y = 180-65

=> y = 115

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\sf x = 65\°}

Explanation:

Firstly finding y:

We know that: "The measure of the exterior angle is equal to the non-adjacent interior angles."

So,

y = 60 + 55

y = 115°

Since:

y + x = 180 (Angles on a straight line add up to 180 degrees)

115 + x = 180

subtract 115 to both sides

x = 180 - 115

x = 65°

\rule[225]{225}{2}

Hope this helped!
