There are many cones with a height of 12 inches. Let r represent the radius and V

represent the volume of these cones.

Plot points that show the volume when r=1, r=2, r=3, and .r=4.

Answer:

If R = 1, ~12.57 is the y. (r is the x.)

If R = 2, ~50.27

If r = 3, ~113.1

If r = 4, ~201.06

Answer:

If R = 1, ~12.57 is the y. (r is the x.)

If R = 2, ~50.27

If r = 3, ~113.1

If r = 4, ~201.06

Explanation:

The formula of a cone is pi * r^2 * h/3

If r = 1, we have pi * 1^2 * 12/3

12/3 = 4

and 1^2 = 1

pi * 1 * 4

4 * pi = ~12.57

if r = 2, we have an imrpoved formula,

pi*2^2 * 4 (h/3 became 4 since 12/3 = 4)

2^2 = 4

4*4 = 16

pi * 16 = ~50.27

If r = 3

our formula is pi*3^2*4

3^2 = 9

pi*9*4

9*4 = 36

36* pi = ~113.1

If r = 4,

our formula is

pi*4^2*4

4^2 = 16 and 16*4 = 64

pi*64 = ~201.06.
