What are the x- and y- intercepts for the graph of 3x + y = 15?

Answer:

X intercept=(5,0) and Y intercept=(0,15)

Explanation:

3x + y = 15

to find the x int, sub in 0 for y and solve for x

3x + 0 = 15

3x = 15

x = 15/3

x = 5....so the x int is (5,0)

to find the y int, sub in 0 for x and solve for y

3(0) + y = 15

y = 15....so the y int is (0,15)
