Step 1 : Find slope of the line


Slope, m_1 = (rise)/(run) \\\\That \ is \ m_1 \ = (y_2 - y _ 1)/(x_2 - x_1)


= (2 - 4)/(4-0) \\\\=-(2)/(4)\\\\= - (1)/(2)

Step 2 : Find equation of the line.


(y - y _ 1) = m_ 1 (x - x_1)\\\\( y - 4) = - (1)/(2)(x - 0)\\\\y = -(1)/(2)x + 4
