tan(-(\pi)/(2))=(sin(-(\pi)/(2)) )/(cos(-(\pi)/(2)) )


sin(-(\pi)/(2))=-1 and
cos(-(\pi)/(2))=0 so


tan(-(\pi)/(2))=-(1)/(0) which is undefined. On the graph, this is represented by an asymptote. So your answer is true.
