From the graph, the given points are (2,-1) and (4,0). Use the distance between two points formula:

\large \boxed{ \sqrt{ {(x_2 - x_1)}^(2) + {(y_2 - y_1)}^(2) } }

Substitute these points in the formula.

\large{ \sqrt{ {(2 - 4)}^(2) + {( - 1 - 0)}^(2) } } \\ \large{ \sqrt{ {( - 2)}^(2) + {( - 1)}^(2) } } \\ \large{ √(4 + 1) \longrightarrow √(5) }

Hence, the distance is √5

Answer

  • √5
