Answer:

11.70cans ≈ 12cans

Explanation:

According to question,

  • Given,A cylinder-shaped sculpture is 24 meters high with a diameter of 6.8 meters . thus Radius is 6.8/2 = 3.4 meters .
  • And, An artist plans to paint the entire surface blue. & one can of paint covers 50 square meters.

Now,First we have to find the total surface area of cylinder

total surface area of cylinder=2×π×r² + 2×π×r×h

Put values,we get

⇒2×3.14×3.4² + 2×3.14×3.4×24

⇒585.0448 square meters

Now,one can of paint covers 50 square meters.

So,To paint 585.0448 m² Area We need 585.0448 / 50 = 11.70Cans

Total Cans needed is 11.70cans ≈ 12cans .
