y =| x - 1| can be any of form I.e

y = x - 1 say equation••••1

OR

y = -( x - 1) say equation •••2

our next equation is,

y = 3x + 2 say equation ••••3

substituting 'y' from equation 1 and 2 to 3

we got

x - 1 = 3x + 2 -( x - 1) = 3x +2

- 3 = 2x -1 = 4x

hence

x= -3/2 and -1/4

substituting x in equation 3 we got

y = -5/2 and -5/4

OR ,

can be solve by iterative method which is quite long
