You use the formula
y_(2) -y_(1) /x_(2) -x_(1)

Which will give you 3. So the slope is 3/

Then you continue with the equation-
y=mx+b (m represents the slope which is 3) We use then use any point but I used (4,2) to plug into the equation.

After using that equation, you get the y-intercept as -10. So, the equation is
y=3x-10
