x = 5 ± i√11 / 2

Explanation:

At the y-intercept the value of y is equal to 0.

=> 0 = x² + 5x + 9

=> x = -5 ± √25 - 4(9) / 2

=> x = 5 ± √-11 / 2

=> x = 5 ± i√11 / 2
