Area of the trapezoid = Area of the square + Area of the triangle

Area of the square= Area of the trapezoid - Area of the triangle

Area of the square= 60 - 24

Area of the square= = 36 square metres

Since Area of the square= L²

L is the length of the side of the square

L² = 36

L = √36

L = 6cm

Hence the required length is 6cm
