Explanation:

4 {}^(2x + 3) = 1

In order for exponents to be equal, they must have the same base and same power.

So what exponet can we raise 4 to in order to get 1.

Remeber that

a {}^(0) = 1

so

4 {}^(0) = 1

,So we finally have

4 {}^(2x + 3) = 4^(0)

Set the exponents equal to each other

2x + 3 = 0

2x = - 3

x = - (3)/(2)
