Explanation:

2 ln(3) = ln(x - 4)

For logarithms, this is a property

ln(x {}^(n) ) = n ln(x)

So we have

ln( {3}^(2) ) = ln(x - 4)

ln(9) = ln(x - 4)

If

ln(a) = ln(b)

a=b

So

9 = x - 4

13 = x
