0.5|x - 4| + 6 = 7

0.5|x - 4| = 7-6

0.5|x - 4| = 1

|x - 4| = 2

x -4 = ± 2

x-4 = 2 ==> x = 6

x-4 = -2 => x = 2

so the value of x = 6 or 2
