Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

First, it depends on what calculator you have.

For a Texas Instruments TI-30Xa Scientific Calculator (Standard calculator in schools), you would:

Press 281, then press the square root button (if that doesn't work, do it the other way, press the square root button first, then type in 281). After, add -9 (or subtract by 9). Finally, divide by 10.

For another calculator, you can simply type it in as seen (like on my Casio fx-115ES PLUS)
