Why can't soild particles move freely​

Answer:

Ionic, atomic, and molecular particles (ions, atoms, and molecules) As a result of strong inter-particle forces, the particles are only able to vibrate rather than move freely. This results in solids having a stable, distinct shape as well as a distinct volume. Solids can only be broken or cut by an outside force.

Because a solid’s particles are packed together and the forces between the particles are strong enough that the particles cannot move freely.
