Answer:

Here is an example of scientific notation: 390,000,000

So all you are doing is taking the number, placing an imaginary decimal in the back, then you are going to count until you get to the first number. So in this case it will be 3.9 and when you move the decimal you will find out you move 7 places.

So your equation will be 3.9*10⁷

Now to break it down:

3.9 (factor 1)+10⁷ (factor 2) and it is to the power of 10

So what is scientific notation:

It is a short way to express a large number, and in a stander form
