Answer and Explanation:

While majority view today is that democracy and freedom are mutually inclusive packages and therefore inseparable in attaining a truly liberal society, Bertrand Russell had an unconventional view even though a liberal like his godfather John Stuart Mill. Bertrand Russell believed democracy was different from freedom. According to him, Britain in the years after the second World War became more and more democratic and less and less free. Contrary to the view of many, John Stuart Mill had a similar view to Democracy and freedom even though he actively campaigned for democracy.
