Explanation:

So, because sides AC and AB are equal, angles C and B are equal- that means that angle B is also 2x. So for our whole triangle, 2x + 2x + 4x = 180º (all triangles internal angles add up to 180º).

From there, we can simply solve for x:

8x = 180º

x = 22.5

And now we can solve for angle A, which is 4xº. When we substitute it is:

4 (22.5)

A = 90º
