Jimmy Valentine is an ex-convinct safe cracker who gets released from jail early and moves to a town called Elmore. Ben Price a detective, is suspicous of Jimmy and follows him to Elmore. He has no intention of changing his ways until he meets the owner of the bank's daughter, Annabel. He falls in love with her and decides to change to an honest businessman running a shoe store. He even ended up changing his name. He eventually gets engaged with Annabel. He later saves Annabel's niece Agatha from being trapped in a safe. Jimmy didn't touch the money inside the safe making Ben Park realize Jimmy has changed.
