(pls help asap lol)

Alicia had to grin as her brother's laugh grew louder. "I'll take a squirt in the face any day over a bite," she said bending to retrieve the dropped bivalve. It was going to be a good day.

At the beginning of the story, Alicia is convinced that scallops will hurt her. Why then does she claim at the end of the story that she was going to have "a good day"?

Answer:

Alicia is happy that the bite didn't hurt to much and that the squirt didn't bother her that much either. She was also with her brother Ron who laughed along with her and plus, she caught her first scallop!
