line each number up in order from least to greatest. it should look like this. 3, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11

on a sheet of paper, cross of the numbers on the ends until you get to the middle.

once you have gotten to the middle you should have one number left which is 7.

because this is a uneven number there will be only one number for the median.
