For every 15 students on a field trip, there needs to be one teacher. What is minimum number of teachers needed for a group of 100 students? Write your answer as an inequality, then explain in words why you know your answer is correct.

The minimum number of teachers needed is 6

Explanation:

To find minimum number of teachers we have to divide 100 and 15 so the answer is 6.666.....but if we

multiply 6 and 15 we get 90 , so it means that 6 teachers can only provide for 90 students , unfortunately there are 100

students , so we need 1 more teacher for the rest ten students that's why the answer came in decimal point . so the answer could be 6.66 or 7 .

you decide 100 by 15 which equals 6.7 since you can't have half a teacher you round it to 7 teachers.
