Trapezium:

Length of parallel sides a = 8 in & b = 5.3 in

height (h) = 8 - 4 = 4 in

Area of trapezium =
((a+b)*h)/(2)


= ((8 + 5.3)*4)/(2)\\\\= (13.3*4)/(2)\\\\=13.3*2\\\\= 26.6 ft^(2)

REctangle:

length = l = 8 in

width = w = 4 in

Area of rectangle = l * w = 8 *4 = 32 sq.in

Area of composite figure = 26.6 + 32 = 58.6 sq. in
