add 6 ounces of B

Explanation:

The ratio of Chemical A to Chemical B is 8/12 = 2/3 when simplified

For the second compound the chemical A is 24 ounces and B is 30 ounces

but it should be 36 as the ratio should be 2/3

so to fix the compound we add 6 ounces of chemical B.
