Answer:

y = mx + c \\ 4 = ((1)/(6) * 24) + c \\ 4 = 4 + c \\ c = 0 \\ y = (1)/(6) x

Answer:

y -4 = 1/6(x-24)

y = 1/6x -2

Explanation:

We can point slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1) where m is the slope and (x1,y1) is a point on the line

y -4 = 1/6(x-24)

Or we can write slope intercept form

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

Substituting the points

4 = 1/6(24)+b

4 = 6+b

4-6 = b

-2 =b

y = 1/6x -2
