Mass number- The sum of the number of protons and the number of neutrons in an atom

Atomic number- The number of protons in an atom

Atomic mass is the total number of neutrons and protons in the nucleus of an atom, where as Atomic Number is the total number of protons existing in the nucleus of an atom. Atomic Mass vs. Atomic Number
