Layla and Bobby are making potholders with their grandmother. They have a total of 1.5 yards of fabric they can use, and it takes one-eighth of a yard to make each potholder. What is the maximum number of potholders they can make?

in order to solve this, realize that there are 8 1/8ths in a yard. because you have 1.5 yards, you just multiply 1.5 by 8! then you have an answer.
