2x = 3y - 4

y = 3 - x

x=1 , y= 2

Explanation:

solving for x:

2x=3(3-x) - 4

- multiply 3 by everything in the parentheses

2x= 9-3x-4

- add 3x to both sides

5x=9-4

5x=5

- divide each side by 5( isolating x)

x=1

solving for y:

y= 3- (1)

- input our solved value for x in the orginal equation

y=2
