Answer:

a) 22 taxis

b) 4 students

Explanation:

150 ÷ 7 = 21 with a remain of 3.

You need one more taxi for those 3 students.

21 + 1 = 22

You need to hire 22 taxis.

Check:

7 ×
21(3)/(7)=150

____________________________________________________________

7 - 3 = 4

If you had 4 more students, then all of the taxis would be full.

Check:

150 + 4 = 154

7 × 22 = 154
