Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

Its given that h(x) = 2x + 1

But its also given that h(x) = 5

=> h(x) = 2x + 1 = 5

=> 2x + 1 = 5

Solve the equation.

  • Substract 1 from both the sides.

=> 2x + 1 - 1 = 5 - 1

=> 2x = 4

  • Divide both the sides by 2.

=> (2x)/(2) = (4)/(2)

=> x = 2
