Answer:

Base = 10.5 cm

Explanation:

GIVEN :-

  • Height of the triangle = 18 cm
  • Area of the triangle = 94.5 cm²

TO FIND :-

  • The base of the triangle

GENRAL FORMULAE TO BE USED IN THIS QUESTION :-

For a triangle with height 'h' & base 'b' , its area =
(1)/(2) * b * h

SOLUTION :-

Area = (1)/(2) * Base * Height

=> 94.5 = (18b)/(2)

  • Multiply both the sides by 2

=> (18b)/(2) * 2 = 94.5 * 2

=> 18b = 189

=> b = (189)/(18) = 10.5
