That's the isosceles right triangle, one of the two cliche triangles students are expected to learn. The sides of the 45°/45°/90° triangle are in the ratio 1:1:√2.

So v= 3√2 (the two legs are equal) and hypotenuse u = √2 × v = 6.

Answer: C
