Explanation:

x.1,2=
(-(-2)+ √((-2)^2-4.1(-1)) )/(2.1)

apply rule -(-a)=a


√((-2)^2+4.1.1)


x1,2=(-(-2)+2√(2) )/(2.1)

x=1 +
√(2) ,x=1 - √(2)
